Carol Singing around the Tree at Newtown on Christmas Eve 2019

Congregational Strawberry Tea Newtown Church held a stewardship event on Saturday 19 October. The event was well supported by the congregation who enjoyed some familiar songs from the Come and Sing Choir. Rev Sheila provided an insightful address giving us pause for thought about the future of our church in the context of both Presbytery and the National Church. Fellowship was enjoyed over tea and coffee with marvellous home baking (strawberry tarts and scones of course). Two excerpts from the choir and some photographs of the event are below. Our Cafe Church was held on Sunday 29 September 2019 in the Newtown Community Wing. Click on the link above for details and some photographs. Our Newtown Coffee Morning on Saturday 24 August 2019 raised over £526. Thank you to all who contributed and supported this fund raiser.

Newtown Church Bazaar
Saturday 24 November 2018 in the Community Wing We raised the magnificent sum of...……£1195.98  Our servers sporting new team colours aka Church Aprons!
Coffee Mornings ~ Our Coffee Morning in aid of Church funds was held on Saturday 25th August 2018 in Newtown Community Wing. We raised the sum of £595.85 including sales of our fantastic new aprons! Get yours soon only £3.00.
Come and Sing Community Choir Our all age Come and Sing Choir, funded by the Church of Scotland ‘Go for It’ fund, meets in the Community Wing on Wednesday evenings from 6.30 – 7.30 p.m. Come along and enjoy a good sing, get to know new people and relax for an hour. Kidsong meets in Newtown Primary School on Fridays from 12.30 – 1 p.m. during term time. |
