St Boswells Rembrance 2018
Poppies for Remembrance
Celebrating 100 Years of Remembrance
All over the Charge, people have been busy producing poppies for the displays in our Churches
to commemorate 100 years since the end of the First World War in November.
In St Boswells, as well as poppies being crafted in people's homes,
we met for two afternoons in the Church Hall
and St Boswells Knitting Group also contributed a large number, king out total 700!

Then came the task of erecting the poppies on the church wall
and also 'planting' the in the grass!
And on one of the coldest and windiest days of the month.
Heavy rain overnight didn't damage the displays which were much admired by passers by.
We are very grateful to St Boswells Branch of the Royal British Legion for their very generous donation of
‘There but not there’ Tommies for the displays.
These will be greatly treasured and used to mark Remembrance Sunday in years to come.
