♪Music For Easter ♪
Please click here to listen to a beautiful piece of music from Helen Leach - organist at Dryburgh District Churches. Helen says that she hopes that it will eventually be "part of a small set of musical movements entitled ‘The Ancient Paths of Holyrood’: the deeper ethos is a connecting with the Christian roots of our country at a time of deep pain and despair. This movement, The Black Rood of Scotland, is an expression of Christ’s love and longing from the Cross and the scripture which resonated with me is the beginning of Isaiah 40 verse 1: ‘Comfort, comfort my people’. The music acts as a prayer for today as we face the unprecedented turmoil and grief of the pandemic."
