We Have Built a House in Tanzania!
Fundraising for the Vine Trust
Various fund raising activities were held:
** A concert by Berwick Male Voice Choir **
** Donations for coffee after worship in our Churches **
** A collection of 5p pieces in Newtown Church **
Our 5p's were counted.
We collected 8031 that is £401.55!
(plus 16 Shekels, several other foreign coins and two hearing aid batteries!)

Our three year fundraising project for the Vine Trust
‘Build a house in Tanzania’ project has now come to an end.
When we began, our aim was to raise the funds to build one house
(approximately £3700).
At our United Café Church service in St Boswells Church Hall on Sunday 30th September,
Martin Holt, Chief Operating Officer of the Vine Trust,
was delighted to receive a cheque for £4707.
Martin gave a slide presentation during the service
and we were able to see just how much a new house means to the families
who are living in terrible conditions.
We are very grateful for the generosity of all who contributed
in any way to the success of the project.
